Comprehensive Breastfeeding Class
Comprehensive Breastfeeding is a single session class that will help you prepare for the very best start to breastfeeding your baby. Your instructor is a registered nurse and lactation specialist (Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant) who has experience assisting mothers in the hospital.
This class will provide a jump start to prepare you to breastfeed your baby! Information provided on positioning, milk production and coping strategies that will help you to breastfeed successfully will be reviewed. Mothers benefit from a loved one's support when breastfeeding. A support person is encouraged to attend the class (no additional fee). The $50 fee includes the book, handouts and your session with the educator. This class is best taken when you are 32+ weeks pregnant. This will allow you to better retain the information for when baby arrives. If you have any questions please call 615-284-6455 Monday - Friday 9 am-3 pm. This class meets IN PERSON from 6 pm to 8 pm. Your class book and instructor handouts will be distributed at the beginning of your class. We will also supply a baby doll for you to get hands-on practice with positioning. It will be helpful to bring your breastfeeding pillow to use for practice.
