Just About the Baby is a single session covering what to expect with your newborn and how to provide the best care in the first few weeks.

Welcome to Just About the Baby! This is an interactive class designed for expectant parents, grandparents, adopting/intended parents, nannies or anyone else needing a refresher on newborn care. We will discuss challenges you may face in the first few weeks at home with the new baby. Some of the topics include: safe sleep, feedings, soothing and general infant care.

We will practice hands-on skills including diapering, bathing and swaddling. If you register for an in-person class, we will provide the baby doll and supplies for you to borrow during your class; if you choose a VIRTUAL class, we ask that you have a few basic items on hand. Your instructor will include this info in an email prior to class.

*A support person is encouraged to attend class (no additional fee). The class fee includes the book, handouts and your session with your instructor.

*If you are an Ascension Employee, please call to request a discount code BEFORE registering for a class. We are unable to apply the discount after a registration has processed. Employees will be expected to show their employee photo ID badge upon arrival to class.

CLASS CANCELLATION AND REFUND:

If a cancellation is requested for a virtual class, it must be done within 24 hours of the time you registered, and you will not receive a full refund. The class packet is immediately mailed out to your home address. The book contains a unique access code that cannot be returned or transferred to another participant.

A full refund will be given for any class cancelled by the site.
